Pole dance with a bicycle? not a good idea!

So, today I learnt how to cycle.
Yes, i missed out this part during my childhood.
and only because my mom forbids us girls in the family to.
why one must ask?
she has her own reasons.
she didnt want us to have any bruises.
i dont blame her. her intention was clear. (:

she did any mother would. to protect her child.
although in her case, some may see it as extreme..
but its not her fault.
she just doesnt want her girls to have scars. (:

eventhough u will not read this mom.. (or maybe u will. sometimes u like to sneak up on us. like reading our diares when we were teenagers. lol eventhough that was privacy invasion... without YOU doing all the things u did.. u wouldnt have been my truest best friend.)
i love you, mom. <3

anyway,
back to the bicycle.
i thought it would be easy as how it looks like.
but i guess never underestimate anything.
although i think i did pretty well.. for about 10minutes.
and then i became all cocky and overconfident.
told my dear hubby to let go and said goodbye.

2 seconds later, WHAM!
smacked in the face. at the pole.
the lamp post was literally buzzing. just like my head was. is. *rubs head*
it was a really super hard bang that if to put into words;
how my mother in law would say:
if the head is not attached to the body, it would have rolled away.
seriously.
or at least it felt like.
phew.

that was a hard core kiss for sure.

moral of the story: dont be greedy. choose one sport. and focus. dont try to juggle both at the same time. lol

Wardrobe: cap by Polo Ralph Lauren. Pouch bag by Fendi. I love Paris T-shirt bought in Paris.
Bicycle sponsored by Kanton Zug.

charismachic.

okay.
so, some may say that my url can be misleading. the meaning to it.
chic and chick.

cmon. first of all, there is a spelling difference between the two.
secondly, u dont pronounce chic as how u would chick.

if u dont know how to distinct the pronunciation to both; then obviously there is nothing chic in u.

anyway...
of course many people nowadays refer to girls as chicks.
but, so what? refering a girl as a chick elucidate one as not being a lady?
how about the spanish then? they call girls as chicas,no?
and...why is it okay to be called as a chica. but not as a chick?

why is that?
so u categorize girls into boxes?
well, u shouldnt. especially if u know her well enough. (;

are girls different to damsels to ladies to mademoiselles to lassies? oder was?? (hehe okay thats german for or what?)

of course all girls are different in their own unique way.
but this is not what it is about.
this generalisation that guys do about girls is what makes it at times intolerable.

okay, we sometimes screams at a mouse but smiles at wolves.
so? even a lady would.

categorise us as how u want to. at the end of the day;
the bottomline is:
as to quote from Coco Chanel: a girl should be two things. classy and fabulous.

let us agree to disagree if we must.
but, hey.. just to shed some light on:

according to the dictionary--
chic:
noun
adjective, chic·er, chic·est.
1.
attractive and fashionable; stylish: a chic hat.
2.
style and elegance, especially in dress: Paris clothes have such chic.
3.
stylishness; modishness: the chic of the firstnighters.
4.
casual and understated style, as in dress or décor, that expresses a specified trendy lifestyle or activity: Black-rimmed glasses bring some geek chic to your outfit.

and what about charisma?
we all know what that is.
so, lets just keep it at that.
but, just in case:
a spiritual power or personal quality that gives an individual influence or authority over large numbers of people.

any more comments?

oh lausanne.

oh lausanne.
twice in a row. i could get used to this.

last week we were here for a property visit. :D
and as how i always like to kill two birds with one stone, we did. tee hee.

if u have been to lausanne, i am sure u would agree with me on what i have to say..
and for those who havent; it would be nice to have this on ur bucket list. (;
of course, every city is different n has its own's charm. some; unfortunately have none.

Lausanne is charmingly beautiful. ..and the best way to explore every city is by foot.
go East and take a long promenade walk.
u will discover many delectable cafes and charming restaurants as well as parks.

BUT,THE way to experience lausanne differently from my point of view; is for u to rent a boat or a bike at the lake. it will give u a different persective..or two.
i bet it would be nice to explore the city with a bicycle.
everything looks different when u r on a bike. (or so they say.)

Unfortunately, i dont know how to cycle. therefore, the pedalo is my matchmake in heaven.
2 in 1. as u pedal, u also burn calories!
* hence, have a guilt-free gelato once u've enjoyed ur ride. *

the motor boats are nice too (if u r a speed demon)--however, it can NOT beat the pedalo.
u will discover another layer or two of ur partner if u r lucky. really.
if u've tried canoeing, rowing or anything of similar sort..
u'd know how important teamwork is.
the flow, the speed.
it is as if u have to be one with each other. (and THAT always takes two to tango, no? heh heh)
so u see.. taking the pedal boat is much more than just exploring the city, the waters..
u also get to explore each other. even more. deeper. heh
and to have all these.. along with the picturesque view of the lake and the alps.
a beautiful experience. <3

Enjoy a leisurely ride along the lake as u pedal through with ur beloved. <3
n then, dont forget ur gelato!
the best way to wrap ur discovery is always with a dessert.

Croissants taste much better in Lausanne.

Croissants taste much better in Lausanne. infact, it tastes much better anywhere in the french part of Switzerland. must be the french influence. well, everything sounds better in french anyway, true?
I guess that applies also to the patisserie.
It has a certain.. hmm almost like a charm of its own.
Bite the flaky yet crispy outer part of the pane.. mmmmm.
and what makes it even better is the chocolate filling.
they even use nutella spread for it. a piece of HEAVEN.

now, thats how breakfast should be. a good start to your day.

Everything tastes better here.
pain au chocolats. oranginas. gelati. well, even water tastes fresher.
Take the Evian for instance. a mickey mouse bottle of that can quench my thirst in an instant if to be compared to the normal H20.
The texture of the water is almost..ONLY almost like the zam zam water. (can only be found in the holy mecca) <3
smooth and soft.

Speaking of Evian, one of these days I will take the boat from Ouchy (which is attached to Lausanne) where we paddled on the pedalo at the lake of Lausanne 8days ago.
only a half an hour trip to reach Evian.should be worth it.

wish list. starts now.

I hate mice.
I was ten years old I think when on one lazy school day rainy morning.. I was waiting for either my mom or my sister to get ready and I was half awake.. sitting on the study table. Half asleep, half awake.
When suddenly, my sister screamed on top of her lungs-- startled me and I asked her why?
with one finger pointing towards MY direction, she said: TIKUSSSS!! (which is Malay for a RATTTT!)
This moment. I will remember forever. I almost died.
...and then, one second later: my sister said: APRIL FOOLS!
aha. charming. indeed. Merci beaucoup.

and from THAT moment on: I hate mice even more.
always have. always will.

But, somehow..
ever since I marry the sweetest man on this planet, he tends to shower me with mouse-y terms of endearment.
According to him, Germans do these.
To them; a mouse is a cute animal. cheeky. and adorable.
AHA.
I dont always agree to THAT. But THIS is an exception.
or maybe.. THIS is the reason.  (;
hehe
So, this is my way of adapting to the whole different culture thing.
As proof, I will wear these Marc Jacobs mouse flat shoes.
How bout that? :D

Bonjour.
This is my first post. technically. and...I am new to blogging. obviously.
Maybe I have not yet excel the art of it..but firstly, this is my space. so, i get to do whatever i please.
my sister told me:. think Carrie Bradshaw.
aha. I never am a fan of the Sex and the city..
But oh well. I guess she just wrote what she knows and immerse herself immensely in what she does..
so, that's just what i'll do. (:

#1:  what i know.
#2:  devotion to the things i love.

What I know. Hmmm I may not be a walking thesaurus or an encyclopedia (my sister is;really.).. but I would consider myself a Jane of all trades. or at least in the fields I am interested in of course.
And usually... that includes devotion.
Just as how i put in the descriptive box about me.

Passion and innocence.
That's what this blog will be about.
Style. Shoes. Shoes. Shoes. Children. Rainbows. Eiffel. Love. Nutella. Candles. Balloons. Bicycles.

*Sealing this with a smile and be real red ribbon.*

x dada

Day 1: Inspired.

            So, here it goes.
